Atmosphere Bistro Bar - New Chillout Bistro in the East

Corporate Executive Chef, William Foong and me

Atmosphere Bistro Bar, located at Parkland Green at East Coast Park has just opened its doors a month ago. This new bistro bar jumped on the bandwagon and joined the slew of eateries including familiar names such as Starbucks and St. Marc Café and Starbucks and new concept cafés such as Pick Me Up.

Atmosphere Bistro Bar is established by the dynamic team behind the Shin Sapporo Ramen. Helmed by Corporate Executive Chef, William Foong, the bistro bar offers hearty comfort food such as burgers, pastas, pizzas, truffle fries and Western main courses and desserts. There is also a large screen where soccer matches and sporting events are screened live. The bistro bar is built around the concept of seaside dining which provides patrons an opportunity of indulging in a delectable meal while basking in the relaxing ambience and enjoying the gentle breeze.

Can't wait to tuck into the miso salmon

Food is generally good except for a few dishes which need fine tuning. I like the miso salmon ($18.80) which is a light, healthy and enticing creation and the presentation is clean and visually appealing.

Healthy miso salmon

The salmon is baked and glazed with a tantalising miso sauce and topped with caviar and accompanied with grilled tomato and asparagus.

Atmosphere Burger

The Atmosphere Burger ($22.80) is also another popular favourite. The portion is generous and the burger consists of three patties – the turkey, chicken and pork. I love the soft and fluffy charcoal bun with hints of truffle notes. The wonderful accompaniments including fresh salad and fries make the dish a very substantial one.

French onion soup

The French onion soup ($4.80) was a little bland and would have tasted better if the cheese toast was added to the soup.

Truffle fries

The truffle fries ($8.80) were also pretty ordinary and I could hardly taste the truffle, however the fries seemed healthy with reduced oil.

Atmosphere molten lava cake

The Atmosphere molten lava cake ($11.80) was beautifully presented with the Atmosphere logo on the plate. It was served warm with a lovely texture which was both dense and moist. When I sunk my teeth into the cake, the luscious, creamy chocolate ganache flowed out, making my taste buds flutter with excitement.

The entrance

Atmosphere Bistro Bar is a fantastic place to chill out and enjoy a beer while indulging in savoury bites. I will definitely be back to savour some of the other dishes which I did not get to try during my first visit.

Atmosphere Bistro Bar is located at 920 East Coast Parkway, #01-25/26/27.
