Café Brio’s December’s festive buffets give you many reasons to smile this season. From 1 to 30 December, you can look forward to seafood on ice, oven-roasted lamb leg, herb-rubbed whole turkey with chestnut filling, cranberry jam and gilbert jus, honey glazed ham with apple sauce and pork jus, Norwegian salmon, barbecued sambal stingray, tiger prawns, veal bratwurst and a magnificent ensemble of desserts.


On Christmas eve (24 December), be enchanted by the splendid spread of festive picks which features roulade of chicken stuffed with spinach scallop mousse served with berries coulis and candied fruits, turkey “Emince” with button mushroom, morel cream sauce, aromatic Christmas roast whole turkey with chestnut filling, cranberry jam and gilbert jus and honey glazed gammon ham with apple sauce and pork jus. Relish sous vide of duck leg with butternut squash and caramelised onion, prawn paste marinated turkey meat with curry leaves, oven-roasted herb premium ribeye and the classic Christmas log cake, cranberry and apple crumble tart, Christmas mince pie, festive wine jelly with berries and signature raspberry flavoured Grand Marnier and “Guanaja” chocolate Christmas Yule log cake and vanilla pineapple roasted confit, coconut biscuit, mango and yuzu log cake.


Celebrate Christmas Day (25 December) in style and be dazzled by the ambrosial Sunday Brunch buffet which includes chicken galantine served with red currant sauce and dried fruits, seafood on ice (shucked Canadian oyster, chilled Boston lobster, snow crab leg, chilled tiger prawn, Spanish black mussel), pan-seared black cod fillet with honey tomato relish, ginger cream sauce, turkey roulade stuffed with pistachio and chestnut in pine nut cream sauce, braised veal shank with celeriac and asparagus tips, natural jus and tenderloin of pork wrapped in bacon with a tasty onion and prune gravy. For a sweet finale, tuck into stollen, Christmas cookies, gingerbread and Christmas pudding.

Christmas Celebrations with a Twist at Princess Terrace

Celebrate this season ‘Penang style’ at Princess Terrace and feast to your heart’s content. Indulge in authentic Penang fare ingeniously prepared with a harmonious blend of spices. Pique your appetite with kerabu beehoon, an appetising dish of rice vermicelli mixed with kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, shallots, garlic, torch ginger flower and mint leaves tossed with spicy chilli sambal and zesty calamansi juice.

Special highlights included steamed fish with preserved soya bean, roast turkey on the wagon, honey glazed ham, garlic prawn, mussel with tomato sauce and wok-fried slipper lobster with chilli sauce. Other veritable Penang favourites include the Hokkien prawn mee soup simmered with lean pork bones for hours and nasi ulam, a couscous style rice cooked with a combination of 36 herbs. For a sweet ending, indulge in delicately hand-made Nyonya kueh and Christmas pudding.
