My Favourite Dishes at Paradise Dynasty

Enjoying zha jiang mian

Located at Ion Orchard, Paradise Dynasty allows one to experience the opulence and magnificence of imperial China. Tastefully furnished in earthy tones, the restaurant exudes old-world charm and timeless elegance.

At the open kitchen, you can view the chefs skilfully pulling the la mian and molding the xiao long bao.

Eight-flavoured xiao long bao

Specialising in classical northern and southern Chinese cuisine with a contemporary touch, Paradise Dynasty is renowned for its eight-flavoured innovative xiao long bao ($14.80 for 8 pieces) which comes in traditional and exotic flavours such as minced pork in broth, crab roe, cheese, garlic, ma la, ginseng, black truffle, foie gras and more. Our favourites are the traditional minced pork in a light broth and black truffle. The juicy filling of the dumpling is wrapped in a delicate dough skin which is then pleated, twisted and steamed. Exquisite flavours enveloped our mouths as we savoured each morsel.



We also enjoyed the handmade zha jiang mian ($8.50), which is hand pulled noodles prepared with minced pork and a salty, fermented soy bean paste.

Szechuan crispy chicken

Pique your palate and ignite your senses with the spicy Szechuan crispy chicken ($12), prepared with dried chilli and Szechuan peppercorn.

Ma po tofu

If you desire a greater ‘kick’, go for the ma po tofu ($9.50), a tofu dish with minced pork in a spicy sauce prepared with fermented black beans and broad bean paste, hot red pepper and Sichuan pepper.

Yangzhou fried rice


Other noteworthy recommendations include the Yangzhou fried rice and the crispy sweet and sour pork ($10.80). The rice is fragrant and fluffy and generously topped with prawns, eggs and greens.

The sweet and sour pork ($12) is deep-fried to perfection and drizzled with tangy, tomato sauce.

Bring your meal to a sensational closure with the signature soufflé egg white balls stuffed with red bean and banana ($4.80 for 3 pieces) or the mango pudding ($4.50)Airy on the outside with a luscious and delicious interior, the soufflé egg white balls will satisfy the taste buds of even the most discerning gourmand.
